The programme – Sustainable improvement of food and nutritional security and resilience strategies of vulnerable households in the Kalonda West health zone, in the Kamonia territory, financed by the European Union, subject of this consultancy, is implemented by Action Contre la Faim, supported by a local NGO, Action Paysanne. The programme aims to address the causes of food and nutritional insecurity of the populations and the determinants of their vulnerability to shocks. To achieve this objective, the action aims in a complementary way to strengthen local agricultural production and productivity, to improve the availability of local food, but also financial access to sufficient, healthy, diversified and local food. This study will ultimately help guide the Action Against Hunger teams in an efficient and clear implementation, guaranteeing the quality, monitoring and capitalization of the strengthening of the commodity chains. It is carried out in conjunction with Action Against Hunger teams, who are involved in all stages of the process and trained in the key concepts and tools of value chain analysis.
