Study to support the identification and preparation of a project whose main objective is gender equality in the agricultural sector in Tunisia

Tero has been mandated by AFD which, in response to a need expressed by the Tunisian authorities, wishes to develop a pilot project whose main objective would be to reduce gender inequalities in the agricultural sector (thus noted DAC 2). This project could thus contribute to the implementation of the rural women’s empowerment strategy for the period 2022-2025, by testing a pilot approach, which could then be replicated on a larger scale. The objective of the service was to support the identification and preparation of this project, by documenting the context, providing elements for the analysis of the problematic, and proposing intervention ideas that could be the subject of AFD financing, one of which was developed in more detail.
