Description

ACF Madagascar has requested TERO to carry out an in-depth study on 3 promising and nutrition-sensitive agropastoral value chains in order to strengthen ACF and its partners in the implementation of the Employment-Creating, Inclusive and Nutrition-Sensitive Value Chains component of the CONFLUENCES Program. The general objective of the service is to guide the ACF teams in an efficient and clear implementation, guaranteeing quality, follow-up and capitalization of the strengthening of the value chains. It will be carried out in conjunction with the Program teams, who were involved at all stages of the process and trained on the key concepts and tools of value chain analysis.

Services provided

  • Development and implementation of a 2-day training course on agricultural value chain diagnostics for ACF teams and partners
  • Preliminary data collection and consolidation, based on relevant literature and existing official reports
  • Gathering information and data through interviews with key value chain actors, communities and ACF and partner teams
  • Conducting a knowledge sharing workshop with ACF teams and partners
  • Implemented in-depth studies of three selected agricultural value chains, in collaboration with ACF's SAME teams and previously trained partners
  • Conducted a workshop to collectively discuss and validate the most promising options and design the intervention
  • Drafted a concept note for a future project
