Description

The Belgian NGO SOS Faim and the Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations of Senegal (FONG) are supporting three peasant organizations in the implementation of a project supporting family farming in 3 regions of Senegal. Each organization recruits and trains endogenous facilitators, who are themselves farmers, who provide technical and management advice to other farmers. SOS Faim asked TERO to evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of this farmers’ support system.

Services provided

  • Analysis of management consulting systems, evaluation of efficiency, effectiveness and impacts and proposals for improvement.
  • Analysis of technical advice systems and dissemination of innovations based on pilot and relay farmers. Evaluation of efficiency, effectiveness and impacts and proposals for improvement.
  • Analysis of partnerships and consultation between organizations supporting family farming, with particular attention to the relations between private organizations and state services.
