AFD in Angola already supports coffee sector through part of the Commercial Agriculture Development Project (CADP) funds with a dedicated budget of around 4,5 million dollars. Together with the European Union and the government of Angola, it has been proposed to deepen the support to coffee chain, with a dedicated project, object of the present pre-feasibility mission. For a period of 5 years, this initiative aims to improve the quality, certification process and exports of coffee in Luanda and three selected provinces with high coffee production: Kwanza-Sul, Kwanza- Norte and Uige. The project aims to strengthen dialogue and collaboration between organizations of the coffee sector and in particular INCA, AIPEX, FDCA, and different private actors in the value chain, with an inclusiveness, gender-sensitive approach and sustainable agriculture focus.
